Film Screenings
This is it! See the films that were selected for 2026 and sit amongst the filmmakers, hear them speak about their films, and ask them questions. Hosted at the Orangeville Opera House and featuring a red-carpet, onsite DFF customizable merch with TownTees, concession featuring popcorn, snacks and various drinks and … some fantastic Canadian films and filmmakers!
All Screenings are at the Orangeville Opera House and are 2 hours long including a live Q & A
Friday DFF AFTER DARK
One of the most anticipated events is our opening night party - and this year we are re-inventing a local space to bring you the biggest opening night party to date! Mingle with filmmakers, enjoy exciting entertainment and raise a glass to Canadian film and celebrate the opening of DFF 2026 in style. This event sells out every year - get your tickets early!
Saturday Networking

An evening of connection and conversation. No speeches. No program. Just a great night. An opportunity to network, talk about the films, be around an arts community - and enjoy the heart of the festival!
Workshop — NEW
New for 2026 - a workshop for aspiring and experienced film actors of all ages. More details being released in June 2026!
Awards Event
The event to be at - this is the end-of-festival social event where our awards are officially announced. This event is where the weekends filmmakers and film enthusiasts network and celebrate together.
